Visualising

Use the power of images, and positive thinking, to improve our lives

Visualisation is a powerful technique that can be used both to better understand our inner psyches whilst also better impacting the world around us.

In the same ways that talking about a problem or a situation can make it easier to think clearly through a problem or situation, so to visualising the way we feels (giving our psyche's "shape") can help us better identify what is making our Psyche's tick.

Visualising can also be used to influence the world around us. There are many examples: athletes will often visualise themselves running / swimming / jumping before doing so in a competition. The advertising industry relies on the fact that if we visualise having a product, we're more likely to go out and buy it. It is well reported that taking a positive attitude to life makes it more likely that things will develop positively.

Psycards uses visualisation in both ways. Start with the particular situation you're in, or problem you face. Which of the cards speak most directly to that situation? Try arranging those salient cards that do talk to you in a way that makes sense. Do you derive any perspective, or self-understanding, through giving your psyche shape?

Now look at the remaining cards. Are there cards that represent positive outcomes? How can you place these too, amongst the spread you've created? And what does this mean, for the options you have available, to make these positive outcomes a reality?

Once you are confident using Psycards to better understand your psyche, and to guide your psyche's energies towards positive external outcomes, you're in a position to introduce change into your use of Psycards. This is represented by the Alea.
