No cordial can the heart renew
Like laughter with a friend or two

Friendship can be one of the most fundamental element of our own happiness, and the need for companionship one of our most basic needs as individuals.

The three characters depicted in the card share a strong bond and level of intimacy. They are relaxing in a tavern, looking at one another, sharing stories. Perhaps the parrot tells us that one of these friends has come home from afar?

The card reminds us of the importance of our closest friendships - the strength we draw from those we care about, and who care about us, and the happiness we get from sharing stories and good times with them.

The card also reminds to look at the relationships we have with those people involved in whatever we are thinking through with the Psycards. Friendships are rarely as straightforward as those depicted in the card, and understanding where complexities and sensitivities arise in the particular situations we face can be enormously helpful in seeing our way through them.
